Rent-a-List.com Review : Scamming and Spamming! I try various advertising and traffic resources all the time.  Of course I never wasted a single dime buying those worthless “millions hits”.  Recently I heard about Rent-a-List.com, an opt-in email marketing service provider. They also sell banner, text and sponsored ads on ezines. Well, the service is actually very costly. But every month they run some special promotion wherein you get upto 75% discount. So I took advantage of their promotional code and bought 100K banner impressions for $60. I was really not expecting any conversion, but expected few thousand visitors to my CPA offer. Now it’s been nearly a month after I bought banner ad and I only got about 4000 impressions and 5 clicks… forget conversion. Just check my stats screen shot below. I think it will take many years for them to delivery my 100,000 impressions… maybe few decades…or not before I die! I also heard some horror stories of their service on popular internet marketing forum DigitalPoint.com. To add further insult, yesterday I got a SPAM mail from them. They dare to send most ridiculous ads to their own advertisers! They sent ads to a “Pro Online Marketer” like me about making money online by reading emails (those get paid to read emails CRAP! WHY READ COMMERCIAL EMAILS  FOR FREE  WHEN YOU CAN GET PAID FOR IT? Signup Today for FREE and Get $10 As Signup Bonus! Earn Extra Cash The Easy Way! You’ve probably heard of online companies paying people to view emails and to visit their advertisers. It’s true, if you have access to a computer, you can get paid to just view offers that interest you, from other companies. You pay absolutely nothing to join as a member, ever. With Hits4Pay, it’s easy to earn some extra cash visiting and viewing our advertiser’s offers and by referring others to our website. You pay absolutely nothing to join as a member, ever. How Is It Possible? Since 1998, Hits4Pay have been maintaining one of the largest free membership website that helps our advertisers to gain exposure to their offers quickly by reaching their specific target market. Tens of thousands of advertisers rely on our capability to reach their targeted consumers in a safe and secure environment. Depending on the rates we charge our advertisers, we share a portion of the revenue generated with our members. Never Clogs Up Your Email Account. The best part with Hits4Pay is that, you’ll never get tons of emails in you email account — you can simply login to Hits4Pay members area and view offers from there, and get paid for it! Get Paid Monthly Checks are sent directly to your mailing address on the 15th of each month as soon as the balance in your account reaches $25. If your balance does not reach the minimum then your balance will roll over till it does. It’s Free To Join – Join Today And Get $10 Signup Bonus Instantly Credited In Your Account! Simply signup and receive $10 instantly in your account – as a signup bonus! Join Hits4Pay Today And Claim Your $10! Other Recommended Websites That Pays You To View Ads: 1. Deals N Cash – Signup and get $5 signup bonus. 2. Inbox Dollars – Get paid to view ads, and more.    Note: I’ve removed all active links above I think if you buy their tagetted ezine ad you get traffic from GPT sites (Get paid to read email) which is totally worthless. So… here is the conclusion: Rent-a-list.com is not only scammer but spammer too! However you can try their opt-in-email marketing campaign in small quantity. Cheers RB

Amazon.com Widgets This is a fantastic series for both kids starting to read and for accomplished readers. The text and pictures as well as the use of images embedded int printed text give new reader “hints” and the stories themselves keep all kids interested. I would say a good age range to read these books 6-12 but that’s just my guideline- use your won judgement. Good Book Series for for Boys! We have the entire series (thanks to Grandma) that my almost 11 year old daughter loves and my youngest (almost 5 year old boy) has been showing interest- so buying these books is a safe bet if you want multiple children to enjoy. They are perfect books for both boys and girls- and stories are fun enough that I can read them to kids as well without mind going numb :-) More Info on Geronimo Stilton and Geronimo Stilton Books Complete list of Geronimo Stilton Books- Updated June 2008. #1: Lost Treasure of the Emerald Eye #2: The Curse of the Cheese Pyramid #3: Cat and Mouse in a Haunted House #4: I’m Too Fond of My Fur! #5: Four Mice Deep in the Jungle #6: Paws Off, Cheddarface! #7: Red Pizzas for a Blue Count #8: Attack of the Bandit Cats #9: A Fabumouse Vacation for Geronimo #10: All Because of a Cup of Coffee #11: It’s Halloween, You ‘Fraidy Mouse! #12: Merry Christmas, Geronimo! #13: The Phantom of the Subway #14: The Temple of the Ruby of Fire #15: The Mona Mousa Code #16: A Cheese-Colored Camper #17: Watch Your Whiskers, Stilton! #18: Shipwreck on the Pirate Islands #19: My Name is Stilton, Geronimo Stilton #20: Surf’s Up, Geronimo! #21: The Wild, Wild West #22: The Secret of Cacklefur Castle Special Edition: A Christmas Tale #23: Valentine’s Day Disaster #24: Field Trip to Niagara Falls #25: The Search for Sunken Treasure #26: The Mummy with No Name #27: The Christmas Toy Factory #28: Wedding Crasher #29: Down and Out Down Under #30: The Mouse Island Marathon #31: The Mysterious Cheese Thief Special Edition Christmas Catastrophe #32: Valley of the Giant Skeletons #33: A Very Merry Christmas (Geronimo Stilton, No. 35) (October 2008) #36: Geronimo’s Valentine (Geronimo Stilton, No. 36) #37: One Very Wealthy Relative (April 2009)[ Like this post? I’m on Top 100 Malaysian Blogs List!
Posted by Kenneth "Definite" Lee on Jun 04, 2009
Files under Internet & Web, Alexa Ranking
You are reading MrDefinite.com 2.0 (make money online) entry.
Got a super vain new theme!
Kathy told me the previous layout sucked. I wanted to tell her hers sucked even more, until she asked me to zh’ng her blog header.
As for her header, she took the photograph all by herself. What a skill!
It felt as if I had worked on the current layout like forever, even when I was busy with the procedures of and preparations for my forthcoming new job and Master’s programme.
More excitement in detail soon!
Adi Wong from Rice Blogger came up with the “Top 100 Malaysian Blogs List” — a system of blog ranking based solely on a site’s Alexa and Technorati performances combined. MrDefinite.com opened at 76th on the chart on May 26 this year.
Right now, this blog has slipped down to the 85th position.
Not something exactly positive, but not negative either. Adi stated that the ranking is not updated daily, therefore both my Alexa and Technotati rankings as shown in the chart are no reflection of the current exact rankings.
In terms of Alexa ranking, MrDefinite.com is now…
170,731
and increasing!
More updates in the queue, so stay tuned.

// Do Before You Die - A Bucket List By Paul Bremer, for Revive Your Life Why fear death when you can embrace life? The fear of death is arguably one of the most common and secretly debilitating phobias that plagues the minds of millions who quiver at the very thought of the afterlife. Unlike tight spaces or eight-legged crawlers, death is one phobia that cannot necessarily be conquered by facing it head on or avoiding it entirely. What terrifies most thanatophobics is the inevitability of the end and the uncertainty of what awaits them once they crossover. Though the fear of dying is comprehensible and shared by many, what good does it serve anybody to be paralyzed by a prospect that is completely out your control? Instead of hiding from death by putting strict limitations on your life, it should be accepted and subsequently used as motivation to reap the benefits life has to offer and get the most out of it while you still have the time. People often say that when the end is near, they wish to look back over the years of their lives without regrets. They hold on to the memories of the things they’ve done, places they’ve seen, and people they’ve loved in order to ease their fears of what’s about to come. To be able to say you’ve lived life to its fullest is a utopian sentiment that will prepare you for the final transition. Actors Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman immortalized this philosophy in the 2008 film “The Bucket List.” As two terminally ill cancer patients, they take back control of their lives by creating a list of things they wish to accomplish before they pass. Among their last aspirations are laughing until you cry, visiting Stonehenge, and kissing the most beautiful girl in the World. While the glimmer of Hollywood production values and the combined talents of two respected actors shed an entertaining light on having a “bucket list,” the film consequently reinvented the notion of living as if there may be no tomorrow. If everyone compiled a list of goals they want to achieve before they die, it would not only help many come to terms with their impending fate, but also allow them to feel complete and satisfied with their lives when the time comes. Every individual has their own ideas and dreams they’d like to see reach fruition, but until they complete their own list, the one below could serve as a launching pad to begin living like every moment is precious. Mending burnt bridges Perhaps the most unsettling knowledge one could leave this earth with is knowing they have unfinished business with someone who was once an important presence in their life. Having those you loved in the beginning in your heart at the end could bring a much needed closure to a situation that you may have regretted or wished had turned out differently. We sometimes obstinately let people slip out of our lives because we have too much pride to fight for something we, at the time, didn’t realize was worth fighting for. Apologize to those you hurt, or let water under the bridge for circumstances that remain in the past. Rewrite the end of any negative chapters involving people you cared for before it’s too late. Learn a foreign language Studying another culture’s language will provide an intellectual challenge that can be fulfilling on several levels. First of all, it’s a powerful feeling to be able to bridge the communication gap and connect with a population of people that you otherwise would have no opportunity to learn from or get to know on a personal front. Secondly, immersing yourself in another culture will open your eyes to the world at large and bring awareness to the beauty of diversity. Volunteer your time Donating time to others who either need help or can benefit from your services is a profound and admirable act. Those with unfortunate life circumstances cherish the generosity of others who lend a helping hand with no favor expected in return. If you had no one to turn to and found yourself in a desperate situation, you would hope a kind person would show you some compassion. Volunteering can be an incredibly rewarding experience that will last forever. Become spiritual Getting in touch with a higher power of your choosing can help guide your life in a healthy way if you’ve ever struggled to find direction or meaning. It’s a personal and intimate relationship that requires nothing but your own reflection on life and can serve as a silent mentor to turn to when things get rough. Conquer your greatest fear You will feel equipped to take on anything the world throws at you if you can manage to rise above whatever frightens you the most. By not surrendering to your fears, you prove your strength and your ability to let nothing get in the way of finding happiness and comfort within your life. Rescue a pet For the living beings on this planet who have no voice and no ability to defend themselves from the forces of man, you can give them a new lease on life. Similar to volunteering, you can help the helpless by providing shelter and love to an animal that needs to feel like they deserve it. Taking in an animal that just wants to be loved can form a companionship that is unexpectedly deep. Keep a journal Record any events, significant or mundane, that may be noteworthy as they happen. One day, you may want to look back on them as a way to remember the course your life has taken, as well as leaving a memoir for your loved ones to remember you by when you’re gone. Whether you want to scale Mt. Everest or write a novel, aspire to accomplish whatever you wish. At some point, everyone will pass on and you don’t know when exactly it will happen. If you let the prospect of death inspire the choices you make in life, you’ll find peace and purpose and find comfort in the fact that you fit in as much life as your years on this earth permitted. A large list of Horse Blogs Saturday, February 3rd, 2007 at 4:41 pm   I have just discovered a gold mine of Horse Blogs If you read my post “Five good reasons why you should start a blog” I gave you a few reasons for starting a blog for your horse business. You may have thought, “Hey that sounds like a good idea, but where to start, what to write about, and how do I pick out my blog categories”? Well I think that the first step should be to check out and read some postings at a few horse blogs that relate to whatever you are passionate about with horses. I did a some quick Internet surfing and found this wonderfully large and varied Horse Blogs list at the Bridlepath blog. Doris gave me permission to repost her huge list here. And I have added to it too. She also would love if you’d check out her equestrian blog too. Note that all the links below will open in a new browser window. Twitter has evolved into an excellent social media tool with lots of potential. It is useful for a range of activities including: driving website traffic, reading news, professional networking, sales, hiring, and making friends. Regardless of why you are using Twitter, your success is 100% dependent on building an effective Twitter List. The Twitter list is your online social network of people (‘tweeps’ in Twitter slang). So what are the most effective ways to build a Twitter List? What are some major pitfalls to avoid? 1) Quality Over Quantity I would rather have a Twitter list of 100 highly relevant, targeted followers than a list of 3000 random followers. You should too. Relevant followers will convert better, provide more useful tweets, and offer a much better networking opportunity than others. What do I mean by relevant, targeted followers? Here are some criteria I use to assess whether or not to follow someone: Are they a real person, or a robot? Their description and profile content What their website about? Is it high quality? Who do they follow? Who follows them? How often do they tweet? How many updates do they have? Do they use an automated Twitter Program? Ask these questions before following anyone on Twitter, resist the urge to follow everyone you can. A high quality Twitterer to follow should be a real person, with a similar profile and niche as yours, and provide timely useful tweets. 2) DO NOT Use Automated Twitter Programs I’ve debated using some of the automated Twitter programs whose numbers are multiplying like rabbits. You know, the ones that go something like ‘Gain 3,000 followers / How I made $30,000 in 3 months!’ I’ve ultimately decided that I will never use one of these programs, as they will hurt my objectives on Twitter. And I believe you too will be better off without them. The reasons for this are: They stress quantity over quality Far from personal, they ‘robotize’ your profile Can be as annoying as hell for the recipient Use a simplistic formula to find followers (ie: keywords in profile, tweets) Pass your Twitter name and password through a 3rd party server that probably is not as secure as Twitter’s The bottom line is you can do a much better job finding relevant followers than an automated program. Yes it will take more time and effort. But is your main goal on Twitter simply to get as many followers as you can at any cost? Or is it to maximize your followers and create a highly valuable social network for your objectives? I hope it is the latter. If not an automated Twitter program would be GREAT for you! I like to use Twitter Search to find users as well as Twitter itself. 3) Create A Highly Targeted Profile Choose a specific niche you would like to build a network of friends in. The narrower your focus, the better. A targeted profile lets potential followers quickly understand what you are about, and gain a higher number of followers in that field than a general one. You will save time by not having to read through countless irrelevant tweets, and convert more visitors to visit your website and other goals. My targeted Twitter profile is in online marketing, specifically SEO, Social Media, Web Analytics, and Web Design. I will only follow people whose profile includes those fields, and I now have a network of over 400 highly relevant followers after two weeks. If you have another interest or field you would like to tweet about not related to your current profile, simply create a new Twitter account for it. 4) Be Patient Networking in person takes time, same thing online. It doesn’t happen overnight, and it doesn’t happen in 2 months. It’s an ongoing process. The results from building a high quality and relevant network of individuals are much more rewarding than building a network of a gazillion followers interested in everything under the sun. That’s why I discourage using automated programs to build up followers fast, there is no shortcut! There is no ‘get rich quick’ scheme, except for hard work, persistence, and an efficient use of time. Do not sacrifice quality for quantity or you won’t get too far in your objectives. 5) Establish Clear Goals What are your objectives on Twitter? Your success is dependent on your Twitter List, so assign some goals to it. For example, gaining 100 targeted followers per month. Set goals, and work towards them. You must have a clearly defined path to follow.   6) Follow A Schedule Twitter has the potential being a very efficient use of your time . It can also be to be a huge waste of time. Set aside X hours per day, or a goal of Y people to follow per day. Following a regular schedule with clearly defined objectives will ensure the most productive use of your time. Personally, I aim to provide at least 3 daily updates and follow at least 50 new targeted people per day. I currently have 413 highly targeted followers on my list, and I started two weeks ago. What do you think of these Twitter list building tips? Got any more tips or strategies to add? I would love to read your thoughts and advice. Build Your list In Under 30 Days Posted on : 10-07-2009 | By : Chris | In : Email Marketing 15 Having a list building technique is synonymous with success for any website or internet based business. list building is used to collect information from visitors so that future contact can be made. In some cases the individual or business may want to send a newsletter or some other follow up type correspondence. By having this contact information the company can send marketing attempts to try and generate further revenue. This comes in especially handy when traffic is down or sales are following a flat line pattern. There are a number of ways to collect contact information for websites. There are squeeze pages, sign up pages and other techniques that fall under the list building campaigns. For more details www.mailing-list-gold.com  Some sites come right out and ask for the visitors email, physical address or other personal contact information, while others attempt to gain the information a little more sneaky. Most advertising advocates boast that whichever method works is the one that should be used! If a squeeze page is used, then it should be very specific and work appropriately. Any list building technique should work and have at least half of the visitors leaving their information. If half are not leaving their information, the site owner should consider employing a different technique. Testing and tracking the results of any type of marketing is always suggested to ensure that it works appropriately and is worth the money spent. If the program is failing it should be removed at once and replaced with a more effective list building strategy. How Do I Build My list in Under 30 Days? list building is something that does not happen overnight, however with a few solid marketing methods and some hard work you can have a big list in just 30 days. One of the most common questions I get asked is how do I build my list? Many people are aware that they need to build a responsive list, but just do not know how to do it quickly. To build a list of buyers you have to market to the correct crowd. I have two main marketing methods that I use which bring me consistent, targeted traffic which I can turn into buyers. My first tip for list building is article marketing. Whether you like it or not, nothing builds a targeted list quite like article marketing. See most people think that you have to write a great among of articles to build a list, which is just not true. For more details www.build-own-list.com  I have had several of my articles get me tons of traffic! If you write 20 well researched articles each month in a niche that is not overcrowded you can build a list of buyers fast. The other method I use is Google AdWords. Adwords is great for building a list, because you can test a page instantly to see if it is going to bring you profits long term. When people ask how do I build, I always tell them to use Google AdWords as a part of your campaign. list building is crucial, but it is also important that you stay in touch with your list in order to build a responsive list of buyers. If you are building but not providing value to your list of customers then you need to start trying to build better relationships with your list. I hope that you are abe to use this information to get your list growing. Let me know if you have any questions!  I really want to hear from you! Go Hard or Go Home! Feedjit Live Blog Stats « Welcome People From?    How Google Chooses Snippets » How To Quickly And Easily Build A Money Making list Of Subscribers I’m no expert on list building, but I would like to become one! That’s why I’ve been on the lookout for  somebody who could give me some straightforward, actionable info on the subject. Enter Chris Rempel, you may have heard of him, he’s been around for a number of years making a substantial income online. He’s the expert I’ve been looking for, and he definitely over delivers! I’ve been online for about a year, blogging, learning the ropes, ect. and in that time I’ve only bought 5 ebooks total, all covering some aspect of Internet Marketing. I’ve always felt most of the info needed to be successful in this business is available online for free. I just don’t part with my hard earned money very often, but the $20 I spent on Chris’s book was definitely well  spent. Here’s some things Chris covers in this information packed ebook: Size doesn’t matter-you don’t need a massive list to see substantial results. Your list is a “live” audience-the people on your list are looking to you for something more then the usual, buy this, you can’t live without this, buy this now-it will be gone tomorrow, you know what I mean. You need to connect with your list-be real-let down your guard-show them you care. Make damn sure everything you offer your list, free or payed  for , has real value ie. you use it or you would buy it. His simple and effective “2 step” promo email works over and over again (I can’t wait to put this little technique to work.) Ways to build your list fast (his record is 600 new subscribers in one day!) Using affiliates to build your list as well as sell your product. How to get your emails opened, read, and acted upon. How to use your blog as a selling tool in conjunction with your list. Using your list as leverage to make even more sales. Coming up with new content. Deadly mistakes to avoid. I’ve just read this ebook once, and this is one of those that will take some time for it all to sink in. Chris practices what he preaches (that you should over deliver-always, and he does.) I rarely try to sell any affiliate products here on Cash Blog, mainly because I just want to become a better blogger, and I just don’t buy many ebooks (I would have to buy it first, before even thinking about selling it.) I’m just happy I broke down and bought this one, it’s going to improve my business, there’s no doubt about it. If you have any interest in building a list, and profiting from it, you can pick up Chris Rempel’s ebook at The Rapid list Profit Formula. If you do decide to pick up the ebook leave me a comment, or better yet email me via my contact page and let me know what you think. Do you have a list in the marketing niche? Want to build one? Lets work together-email me.
