Google, internet Marketing, Search Engine Optimization Do-Follow Comments
Another PR update so soon… Okay well it seems that a June Google Page Rank update is underway right now, which is weird since the last one was just last month, but all my newer PRO sites went to PR1 or PR2, and 2 PR2 sites went to PR3 and other bloggers are posting the same updates on their sites. And, this explains the shake up in the SERPS that I talked about the other day. I do not think the update is done, because a couple of my sites went to PR2 which they surely did not deserve due to very few links, I’m not complaining but I think that it will go down. Again for the newbies to this business, the toolbar PR is mainly useful for our own egos and link building. the real PR (the one that matters) is updated daily behind the scenes of the Google Algorithm. The SERPS, traffic and sales is what really matters, but it’s always fun when the update comes around. SERP Update: Just checked the SERPS and they are still all over the place with odd page 1 results and several of my sites, though given an increased PR falling radically, so most likely they are not stable yet. May-June 2009 SERP Shakeups - Here We Go Again

Have you guys checked your SERP positions lately? There are definitely some shake ups going on with Google and their algo. A couple of my good aged site’s home pages just plummeted in the SERPS. One site, while it still ranks for other keywords, was pushed back to the black hole for a keyword that it has ranked for for over 1 1/2 years and the keyword is very low competition and now there is a whole lot of junk sitting on page 1 for that keyword. And the same with other SERP results that are also showing a lot of crappy and spammy sites, as well as irrelevant sites. Now in doing some reading around the web this seems to be an on going issue for many in the last couple of weeks with even aged authority sites losing major rank and sites dropping several pages in the SERPS. Coincidentally a very similar thing happened in June of 2008. There also seems to be a pattern with index pages (home pages) losing rank while inner pages remain solid across the SERPS. Now, while there will always be fluctuations in the SERPS , this seems to be something bigger and on a larger scale and similar shifts happen several times throughout the year. Some guess that Google is trying out a new filter to catch paid links, and others think that the filter is negating blog comment links. I doubt the latter because my sites that lost rank have very few blog comments as backlinks. Google just announced that they added external resource loading capabilities capabilities for Flash and indexing of flash, this may also be a part of this, learn more at Google Webmasters Blog post on this. Really it could be anything. As that famous saying from The Godfather goes, “this is the business we’ve chosen” and dealing with Google SEO is always a roller coaster rider I am not sure how major this one is, but I, as well as others do not think (at least I hope not) that this will last, most likely things will calm down and the SERPS will return to normalcy. The most important thing to remember: DO NOT PANIC! One of the biggest mistakes that webmasters make when their sites see a significant drop in SERP rank is to start making drastic changes on their sites. 1. This is often a mistake because it can trigger alarms and filters such that when the SERPS do return to some normalcy your changes may have adverse effects for your original rank positions. 2. The traffic is all that really matters. Another factor to consider is look at your traffic patterns, usually losing SERP positions for a couple of pages or even the home page will not affect traffic that much because most sites come up for lots of keyword searches, especially the long tails from inner pages. This is where Google Analytics really comes in handy for analyzing those SERP patterns affects on your sites. 3. Remember to have faith in your work and if you are not doing anything extreme or super black hat then do not worry, just keep on working as usual, add some content to your sites, that is always a solid and safe route to take. 4. And also remember that this is probably not personal but a web wide change. …Best thing to do in these types of situations is to wait it out. Reportedly Google tried to stop this merger by offering Yahoo a search advertising deal, but that was stopped when some U.S. antitrust officials threatened to sue. Microsoft has big hopes for Bing and has launched a big campaign to promote their new SE in print, radio, online and TV ads. Bing returns good results and has a lot of promise, and as of late some would argue better than those of Google’s for many search queries, since Google’s weird SERP changes that have been going on since late May. The Merger and internet Marketing As an internet marketer I welcome a more even playing field in the search engine market, because the Google monopoly is a big thorn in our sides. We all worry so much about Google and they can literally make or break our online businesses with just some SERP changes. It would be nice to even out the competition and get more even traffic numbers across the board. Many of my sites rank in Bing and Yahoo, and it’s a shame that so little traffic comes via those sources. Time will tell, with Google being as dominant as they it will not be an easy feat! Plus the fact that this deal is not expected to close until early next year, and then it maybe be another two years before all the pieces of the partnership are in place with antitrust regulators needing time to review the merger’s effects on the internet ad market and of course to stitch the technologies together. Bing, the new search engine from Microsoft (formerly MSN Live) has signed a ten year deal to power all Yahoo searches. Setelah menentukan produk yang akan di jual di situs Anda, dan mendatangkan pengunjung ke situs online Anda, tentunya yang terjadi adalah transaksi jual - beli. Nah. . . agar proses berjalan lancar, maka Anda perlu mengandalkan sistim pembayaran yang online, salah satunya adalah menggunakan :

Sistim pembayaran / penerimaan uang online ini sudah ada sejak lama. Dahulu kala, negara Indonesia tidak termasuk dalam daftar Paypal, oleh sebab itulah orang di jaman dulu mengandalkan cara lain untuk menerima pembayaran secara online.
Dengan Paypal, Anda bisa menerima pembayaran secara online. Pihak yang membeli tentunya menggunakan kartu kredit untuk membayar kepada Anda. Jika produk yang Anda jual adalah produk berbentuk digital, maka setelah pembayaran diterima, pelanggan Anda dapat secara langsung download produk digital tsb (ebook , video, audio, dlsb).

What Major Mistake Do internet Marketers Make Again and Again?

Believe it or not, many well known internet marketers have made this mistake. And sadly, they made it over and over again until they realized the key lesson that only lost sales can teach. Namely, if it sounds too good to be true . . .
Actually, a bigger secret here is that the true experts learned from their painful mistakes and don’t make the same ones anymore. Of course if you’re not making mistakes, you’re not learning anything, but that’s a topic for another post.
The Web Hosting Siren Song
It seems so attractive when you see the ad for practically unlimited storage space, unmetered bandwidth and all the email accounts and MySQL databases you can “eat”. And what’s more, every web hosting company seems to be offering these amazing plans for next-to-nothing a month - even the big names! Surely you’ll be able to use all that space and bandwidth since you paid for it, right? Maybe not. In fact, mostly not.
The Dirty Secret
Almost all the companies that are offering huge storage space and unmetered bandwidth have at least one catch, and some have two or three!
Here’s the deal in a nutshell: if you are paying next to nothing, you will most likely NEVER be able to use all your account resources. Many companies hide limitations to your account in the small print when you sign up. For instance, if they give you 10 Gigs of storage, they may limit the number of files you can have on that 10 gigs of disk space and when you go over the file number, even though you might still have plenty of space left in your quota, they’ll suspend your account in the best case and terminate it without warning in the worst case. One key: look for something called an inode limit in your contract. If you see that, you may want to move along and find someone else. Also, be sure and ask up-front if you will be able to use the full amount of the allocated space and bandwidth. The answer may surprise you.
Another way they will surprise you is by putting your account on a server with hundreds of other people’s web sites and if you run a discussion forum, or have a blog that gets a sudden influx of traffic from a social news site like Digg, they’ll suspend, or terminate your account for using too many resources. And even if they don’t suspend or terminate you, your site will probably go down anyway because the server is simply overloaded and they’ve sold you web hosting like an insurance company sells you insurance. They’re banking on the fact that you’ll probably never use 99% of the resources they promised you. (Bear in mind that a badly configured Wordpress installation can go down under massive traffic even if you HAVE lots of resources, so be sure to setup your Wordpress properly also. Why is Web Hosting Such a Big Deal?
What happens when that amazing new product launch you planned for weeks finally hits the net and the thousands of curious browsers find the dreaded “404 Not Found” error, or the “503 Service Unavailable” error, or the mortifying “Account Suspended” ‘error’? You lose. Big time. Not only do you lose the immediate sale, but far worse, you lose credibility especially with folks who might never have heard about you until that day they found your dead web site. And even those people who might know you and have purchased from you before are going to think twice before recommending you now. It’s truly a dark sales day when your web site goes down. Don’t let it happen. Ever.
So How Do You Find the Good Companies?
I ran my own hosting company for 6 years and that’s how I learned the hard way that most companies are overselling their resources in order to make it in this highly competitive market. For the most part it works because, truly, the majority of people and small businesses on the web have not yet figured out what traffic is, let alone how to coax any of it to their web site. But for you, the savvy internet marketer, this is obviously not the case and makes it a critical part of your business to find and secure the best possible hosting service you can afford.
Here are a few key things to look for in a good web hosting company.
Do they emphasize service and support? That’s a good sign. Do they have a moderate price and offer moderate resources? Also a good sign. If it’s crazy cheap with insane storage and infinite bandwidth, it’s probably too good to be true and you should look elsewhere.
What are people saying about them?
Check out webhostingtalk.com and hostsearch.com for reviews and comments. I have spent months reviewing all manner of hosting companies and these two research sites are great places to pick up tidbits about who’s honest and who’s not quite living up to their promises. Here are the top resources I use for researching hosting companies, although I mostly look to webhostingtalk.com since they don’t allow advertising in most of their forum (they have an area designated for that) and I’ve honestly spent more time there.

Premier Dedicated and Shared Hosting - Liquid Web
If you need absolutely rock-solid shared hosting with stellar support you will pay about double the bottom-of-the-barrel pricing that most companies are charging, but you won’t ever regret it. (You can also go month-to-month with them right away–they don’t require a 1 year commitment to get their advertised price.) And if it’s dedicated hosting you need, they have one of the best networks and reputations in the industry and I have never once had a problem with my dedicated servers at Liquid Web.

Outstanding Reputation and Great Support Plus a Competitive Price - HostICan
If you need the lowest price possible without sacrificing resources and support, go with these guys. HostICan has a great reputation on webhostingtalk.com and I have personally spoken with the director of their program and found their claims to be more than matched. Don’t be afraid of the unmetered bandwidth in this case too (which shows that there are no absolutes in this research). You can actually use all your disk space and bandwidth. And they will work with you to keep your site up even if you suddenly find yourself under heavy server resource strain. Note that if you have a heavy resource-using site like a forum with thousands of hourly visitors, I would go for the VPS (minimum) or dedicated solution rather than shared hosting. Also note that you must sign up for a 1 year contract in order to get their lower advertised prices.

Getting friends all over the world is never a bad idea! Hello trusted readers! Today I want to talk a bit about networking. – Networking on forums to be accurate. ( This post will be split in 2 because of the length, as I personally HATE reading looong blogposts. This is part 1, and part 2 will come really soon) As most of us understand, networking is essential to achieve great success in internet marketing. At least that’s what I think after a few bad experiences in different forums, which have almost made me hate a few people. I’m not a hater though, so it doesn’t really matter that much with me, but others might be able, and willing to do BAD things to your reputation – Which is something you must avoid at all costs! So here’s the list of my tips for networking on forums with greatest effect: Send PM’s, and lots of it. This will get you directly in touch with other people, and nobody knows what you are talking about, so you can be a lot more personal, honest and to the point. And it’s always exciting to see if you have gotten any new PM’s each time you for example log in to the warriorforum, or trafficdrill, which are the 2 I use the most at this time. Help people Whenever I can, I try to help people. This does NOT include services that should be paid for, like webdesign, graphics, articles etc. but rather simple tasks they are unable to do on their own. I personally try to help them to help themselves, but that’s not always the best either. And if I’m unable to help, I’ll tell them how to find someone to help them, or give them contact info to someone I know that can. I usually do “proofreading” of products before they are launched, and provide comments about what I like/don’t like, what I feel is missing etc. and tell them if I get any good idea’s they will benefit from. It’s really simple, useful for people, as well as it gives me free products! Now that’s a win/win already! Next is that I have someone new in my network, who I can JV with later, or get to do the same for me if I need it. Pretty useful if you ask me =) Tell people to PM you if they have questions about anything you have written This goes for most forums. By getting people to send you a Private Message, you will get directly in touch with them, and then you have it going. Make sure you don’t “finish” your conversation too early by simply sending an “ending” PM. – A PM tham makes it harder to reply. I usually end my early PM’s with a question, so the people I talk with replies. Then after a little while, we get to know each other a lot better, and find some shared interests etc. And I have a new contact! Simple as that really. And if they don’t reply… Too bad for them! They have lost the gift of having my creativity at their disposial for free. I just move on. NB! Don’t abuse this technique! People will consider you annoying if you always reply with a question in the ending. You also need to have a medium-length message as well, and have useful content. Ask people for people to contact if you need help This is just one of the ways you can use your network. Whenever you need help for something spesific, ask someone you think might know someone good for what you need. You might even get discounts and improved services! – Contact me if you need rebates for a FANTASTIC graphic designer ;o) Stay polite and helpful Essential,obvious, yet still worth mentioning. Always be like this, and people will like you, and gladly help you back if you need. It’s also good for NOT getting enemies. You will get more credibility etc. etc… You get the point. Here’s another thing about helping other people, which I wanted to add in the end of part 1. You might not always get something back. Trust me, you won’t. There are also quite a few people you help, whowon’t be that grateful. But remember that 1. – You get a good feeling from helping people anyways. 2. – Whenever you’re helping people, you will start to feel better and better, and eventually consider yourself an expert. 3. - They might not have much to offer right now, but in time, they can become great internet marketers. And great internet marketers definately remember who got them going in the first place, and will definately help you if you need it. That’s all for today folks! Networking on Forums (Part 1)- Probably One of The Most Essential Skills in internet Marketing

Getting friends all over the world is never a bad idea! Hello trusted readers! Today I want to talk a bit about networking. – Networking on forums to be accurate. ( This post will be split in 2 because of the length, as I personally HATE reading looong blogposts. This is part 1, and part 2 will come really soon) As most of us understand, networking is essential to achieve great success in internet marketing. It has numerous benefits, as well as it keeps it a little bit more “social”. When you network on forums, you actually speak with fellow internet marketers, and share knowledge and services. – Which is usually a win/win situation. I thought I’d share some tips on how to do this, since obviously not everyone totally “gets it”. At least that’s what I think after a few bad experiences in different forums, which have almost made me hate a few people. I’m not a hater though, so it doesn’t really matter that much with me, but others might be able, and willing to do BAD things to your reputation – Which is something you must avoid at all costs! Put an emphasis on customer care. Small businesses have far better chances of personalizing their marketing campaigns than larger businesses. Since an excellent customer base is the foundation for a strong, solid business, make sure you take time and effort to polish your customer care policies. Try to personalize communications with your customers by building a database containing a simple profile of each their names, contact information, buying preferences and sales volume. Using this database as a reference, you can then customize your marketing and promotion campaigns to suit each one. You could also send out letters of appreciation for loyal customers each month, telling them how much you appreciate their business. By keeping an eye out for customers who matter to your business, you can make sure they are given the attention they deserve. This report doesn’t sell you anything, it’s not stuffed with links but it will have an impact on your internet marketing career. You just need to realize what the mistakes are, learn from them and try to avoid them in the future. So, let’s begin… Mistake #1. Everybody is selling the same products. As every market the internet market abounds in products from competing companies or individual sellers. This affluence of similar products makes it more and more difficult to satisfy fastidious customers and generate sales. So, the best way to succeed is to have your own online business and sell the product that is unique in its kind. Having your unique products provides you with a great opportunity to enhance your online business and profits by attracting JV partners or affiliates. You’ll want to make sure your affiliate program works reliably and then you just need one person who will promote your product to the rest of internet users. Only one person – that’s enough to start. Then you take the results (your first affiliate’s testimonials, feedbacks, reports) and use them to approach other potential JV partners. As far as your affiliate list grows, your products get more exposure and you benefit from more sales and revenue. But what if you don’t have your own unique product? How will you attract customers? The key to survive in the strict competition is to be different, stand out from the crowd and do what others don’t do. So, the best way to succeed is to have your own online business and sell the product that is unique in its kind. You can tell Yaro and Gideon of Become A Blogger are not from the United States (they’re from Australia) because I got my pre-release copy of their new free report “The Roadmap To Become A Blogger” at 4:30 on Thanksgiving Day. Of course I was enjoying a day with my family while working on getting a Thanksgiving feast ready for the dinner table and didn’t even know I’d received it until I checked my email the next morning. And then, of course, I had to go shopping with my daughters, so it sat unopened in my email inbox until today. Quite honestly, I really didn’t have much time to truly read it today either but I did take a quick scan of the 60 some-odd page document. And after spending that time I felt it was necessary to post my review. NOTE: This report is not yet available - it will be made available on Monday, December 1st. I don’t know what time, but it is free and I will post the link on Monday as soon as I receive it. I have to say, this report is socked full of information. Actually, it’s information that scares me a bit. Acording to Gideon, who I’m thinking is the person who wrote the report, the days of earning money online by using a traditional blog are gone. Yes, according to him, in order for a person to start a blog today and earn a living with a blog in the traditional manner, with text and words, is past. In comes the new age of blogging that includes video, audio, images, and social media distribution. He talks about how in order to stand out from the ‘two new blogs that are started every three seconds’, you have to do something different. I have to admit, while reading the report I was starting to feel a little behind the times. However, he makes a great point. If ‘two new blogs are started every three seconds’, how are you supposed to get readers and subsequently buyers for the products you promote? Well, as scary as the report was for me to read, it not only opened my eyes to the fact that I might need to move further into the future, but it also does a fantastic job of outlining how to get started down the road to making money blogging. The report has five milestones that a new blogger must work through before they are able to make money. Each milestone is explained clearly and realistically. Timeframes for accomplishment are discussed as well as what to do when your plan doesn’t work. The report, in addition to being insightful, is the one report that comes closest to giving you everything you need to know to get started down the road to making money with blogging. Of course, they don’t tell you everything, it’s still a bit theoritical, the nitty gritty details will be saved for the membership site they’re building up to. For a free report, the amount of great information you receive is fantastic and if you’re a person wanting to make money blogging, taking the time to read this report may save you months of trial and error.
