img {max-width:650px;width: expression(this.width > 650 ? 650: true);border-style:none; behavior: url(../iepngfix.htc); } Feb1 Google video Searches Being Poisoned 9:21 am (UTC-7) | by Jake Soriano (Technical Communications) The Yahoo! open search redirection threat we blogged about just days ago may be from a totally different cybercriminal gang, but this new blackhat SEO poisoning makes clear that online search tools are quickly becoming favorite platforms for online criminals in their operations. Search traffic on Google video were found to be polluted: instead of legitimate videos researchers found some 400,000 queries returning video results that have a single redirection point, and one that eventually leads to malware download and execution. Trend Micro detects the malicious executable as WORM_AQPLAY.A. This worm – file name FlashPlayer.v3.181.exe and from that alone one can already guess the social engineering strategy – spreads via removable and network drives when autorun is enabled. It masquerades as an Adobe Flash installer, which users who visit certain spoofed versions of video streaming websites are prompted to download and install. What’s more interesting here is how users get to these spoofed websites in the first place. Researchers believe that the gang behind this threat is maintaining a notable number of domains for their malicious operations. These domains have keyword-riddled pages, so they appear on top of search results when users enter certain related strings. A user, thinking that top search results are reliable, is then unknowingly trapped into visiting a malicious website. This is typical of most SEO poisoning attacks, but it does not end there. This new threat also comes with a detection-evasion technique: only users who are redirected from Google video are prompted to download FlashPlayer.v3.181.exe. Blackhat SEO threats take advantage of the trust users put on online search tools. Through this method cybercriminals are able to manipulate results such that malicious websites appear first on search lists. The San Bernardino County site’s probation page was, during that time, carrying a frame that directs users to a known disease vector under the domain videosdivx(dot)net. The target URL bear the strings “KATRINA+HALILI+NUDE” which suggests that videos or pictures of the Filipino actress may be viewed from the URL. Halili is currently involved in a much talked about sex video scandal proliferating in the Philippines. While the site is now clean, Threat Analyst Joseph Pacamarra found another attack capitalizing on the same sex video scandal, this time using the Ask George website, the state-wide information portal of Washington DC in the US. Accessing the said page, which had been injected with a script containing the words “katrina+halili+sexy+pic,” redirects to a site under a certain hot-unlikely-tube(dot)com domain. Clicking on the black screen, the user is informed that s/he needs to download a codec to be able to watch the video. But instead of a codec, the user downloads malware: TROJ_DLOAD.TID and its payload, TROJ_COGNAC.J. TROJ_COGNAC.J is saved as b.exe. It modifies the system registry to make sure it runs at every startup. It assists TROJ_DLOAD.TID in downloading files named qwerce.gif and a.exe from different URLs. As of this writing, the .gif file is non-malicious, and the URL that downloads a.exe is not accessible. While this means little danger for current victims of these attacks, the actual contents of the URLs may actually change any time to exhibit more dangerous side-effects. The affected pages from the said site appear to have been modified last May 30, early morning US time. (Updated June 2, 22:40 PM PST: We have verified that the affected site is now clean as of this writing. Website administrators are advised to conduct penetration testing for their sites especially for high-traffic and high-interactivity ones.) A little known trivia on me today: I actually took two years of video production classes. Unfortunately after the second year I was so burned out by the technical side of it (sitting and watching hours of footage and cutting and editing it is not my cup of tea!) I never actually did get around to making the movie or videos I wanted to! It’s not easy to make a good video all by yourself. Sure, we’ve seen our fair share of home videos on YouTube, many of which are terrible and have bad lighting, bad audio, and worse actors. Just type in “me playing a song” or “me doing” in youtube and you’ll see what I mean! Here’s the perfect example right here for you to watch of a terrible video: It is the videos like this that really make you wish more people would take advantage of professional video production service. The perks of using professional video services is that you don’t really need anything beyond a budget and an idea - they handle all of the technical editing stuff and can even write the script and provide actors like you. So if your genius movie idea of doing nothing in front a webcam is the best you can come up…well, at least it could look pro!

Chua: I’m the one in sex video
Health Minister of Malaysia Dr Chua Soi Lek had openly admitted on the firdst day of 2008 that he was the person featured in a video showing a man having sex with a woman purportedly in a hotel room.
“I am the man in the tape. The girl is a personal friend,” Chua told a press conference at the Labis MCA headquarters at 4pm. He was accompanied by a group of 50 party supporters and local leaders.
According to Dr Chua, the video was recorded two years ago.
The video, which comes in two DVDs, were first distributed free in Muar and eventually in Batu Pahat and Seremban.
The first DVD lasting 56 minutes has footages from four different camera angles of the hotel suite, while the second DVD lasting 44 minutes is said to show the couple engaged in sex acts on the bed.

Took me over two hours to compile the following productions by fellow Utarians of Broadcasting major (works from Advertising students not included). To be honest their productions and multi-faceted talents really impress me.
Some of the videos that have got brilliant concepts might not have been well executed but I am still proud of them considering most of them were produced during the first year of these Broadcasting students (some are even their first assignments), never mind not having proper equipments to shoot.
UTAR seriously needs to invest some money in video shooting equipments because all Utarians got is talent!
In January this year, UTAR students swept 14 out of the 33 awards in the Anugerah Perdana and Anugerah Cipta presented during the Festival Filem dan video Pelajar Malaysia Keenam (FFVPM6).

Dazu muss der heimische Rechner natürlich eingeschalten sein, während hochgeladene Daten immer und überall sowohl vom Telefon aus als auch übers Webinterface zur Verfügung stehen. Auf Wunsch erhalten OVI-User auch eine E-Mail Adresse mit den üblichen Messaging-Funktionen und Handset-Synchronisierung, diese Funktion habe ich allerdings nicht getestet, da ich für meine Mailboxen sowieso IMAP4-Abruf nutze. Neben den Speicher-, E-Mail- und Synchronisierungsfunktionen bietet OVI diverse Zusatz-Services, beispielsweise kann man am heimischen Rechner bequem routen planen und diese anschließend aufs Mobil-Device beamen. Der Store bietet diverse Premium-Inhalte (Klingeltöne, Hintergrundbilder etc.), kostenpflichtige mp3-Downloads und ein (ausbaufähiges) Software-Angebot. Entscheidend für den längerfristigen Erfolg OVIs wird die Erweiterung des Portals um Drittservices und Zusatzangebot sein. An manchen Stellen – vor allem beim Desktop-Client – fehlt es an Konsistenz, Menüpunkte wie “Games” bringen den User auf unabhängige Sub-Portale; hier sollte Nokia an der Vereinheitlichung der Bedienoberfläche feilen. Derzeit sind der große Online-Speicherplatz und die Cloud-Synchronisation für mich die stärksten Assets von OVI. ClickTale – Record, Watch, Understand
I am really pleased with the services that ClickTale provides, especially being able to track my users’ paths through my site. By watching the recordings, I noticed right away that my visitors had to search all over the site before they found what they were looking for. The heat map feature showed me that many people had to scroll all the way to the bottom before finding what they wanted. So I rearranged the contents based on my clients’ flow through the website and web pages. By giving people what they want on my site right away, I’ve been able to retain more visitors for a longer time. And the longer a visitor stays on my site, the more likely they are to purchase something.
I originally thought that the service would be too difficult or complicated to use, but really it’s been quite easy to get into. It’s totally worth it– especially since using ClickTale eliminates the need for costly usability labs whose results are not nearly as accurate as what I get from the ClickTale service.

Chad Hurley a davosi konferencián elhintette, hogy a Youtube (azaz a Google) fizetni fog a feltöltött videókért. Íme az elhintés: Ez a megoldás egyáltalán nem újdonság a videómegosztók terén, hisz pl. a Revver is így működik. Csakhogy a Revver-en nincsenek jogsértő videók! Ez egyértelmű, hisz minek fizetnének olyan videókért, amit nem te készítettél. Ezzel ellentétben a Youtube hemzseg a különböző TV adásoktól, és a századszorra is feltöltött “vicces videóktól” (értsd: többször töltik fel ugyanazt a videót).Ez az ellentmondás válaszút elé tereli a Youtube-ot. A rendszer jelenlegi “állapotát” csak akkor tarthatják fenn, ha a fizetett részt egy külön szolgáltatásként indítják el. Talán nem is a Youtube, hanem a Google video (továbbiakban:GV) formálódik át ilyen módon? Ez a “fizetős” rendszer elősegíti a jobb minőségű tartalom megjelenését (ez a Revver tartalmán is látszik), ami jól passzolna a szintén Google kézen forgó (ki gondolta volna? :-D) GV-hoz. Teljesen felesleges egy cégnek két ugyanolyan videómegosztót üzemeltetnie! Könnyen átalakíthatnák a GV-t egy profibb videókra összpontosító szolgáltatássá, hisz már most is rendelkezik több, ehhez szükséges funkcióval. Például a nagyméretű lejátszó, a profi streaming, a nagyméretű fájlok feltöltésére alkalmas program, és a videó letöltöttségi állapotától független (előre-hátra) tekerés. A szolgáltatás átmenetet képezne a most indulgató asztali “letöltjük-megnézzük-megosztjuk” (Joost project), és a Youtube féle egypercesek között. Ráadásul a minőségi tartalom a keresésekhez is jól jön. Mi van, ha a Youtube lesz fizetett szolgáltatás? Bár a Youtube-on is el lehetne szigetelni egy külön részt erre a célra, de annak nem sok értelme lenne. Esetleg csak az azt igénylő (űrlapon kipipáló) felhasználók kapnának juttatásokat a feltöltött videóikért, és csak őket érintené a szigorú ellenőrzés. Ebben a szituációból két kérdés merül fel az emberekben: - Ha fizethetnek is érte, akkor miért csináljam ingyen? - Ha csak a nem fizetett részben tölthetek fel illegális tartalmat, akkor minek jelentkeznék a fizetettbe? A felhasználók részéről a megoldás két fiók regisztrálása lenne (egy fizetett, és egy nem fizetett). De ez nem túl jó megoldás. Ha a fejlesztők elég következetesek, akkor csak a felhasználók által megjelölt videókat ellenőrzik, és csak azok után fizetnek. A fizetés egyébként olyan nagy motiváló erő lehet, hogy az idáig passzívan szemlélődő embereket is sikerül regisztrációra, és feltöltésre bírni. Persze nagy összegeket csak egy vékony réteg fog kapni (heavy userek). Itt kapcsolódik a témához az egyik “nagy kérdés”: helyes-e a fizetett tartalomgenerálás (pl. fizetett blogger)? Biztos, hogy lesz szigorú ellenőrzés? Nem, nem biztos. Ha csak simán bevezetnék a szigorú ellenőrzést, akkor a szolgáltatás igen könnyen elveszíthetné a hatalmas népszerűségét. Ezt ugyan némiképp kompenzálnák a videókért kifizetett összegek, de mindenképp nagyot esne a látogatottság. Ha csak valamilyen enyhe szűrőt építenének be a programba máris jobb a helyzet, és a látogatottság se csökkenne sokat. Szerintem ez a legreálisabb elképzelés. De az is megeshet, hogy egyáltalán nem lesz szűrő, hisz a Google-nek így is megérné. A fizetett videók mekkora hasznot hoznak a Google-nek? Önmagában a videók semmilyen hasznot nem hoznak. Sőt! Rengeteg pénzt kell majd kifizetniük a naponta feltöltött több ezer videóért. Viszont több ponton is haszonná változtathatják ezt a kiadást. Hirdetések! Egy olyan oldalon, ahol nekünk fizetnek nem várhatjuk el, hogy az oldal reklámmentes legyen! Elég egy AdWords hirdetés, és a cég máris visszanyerte a kifizetett összeg felét. Ha bannereket rak ki még többet kaszálhat, bár jobban elcsúfítja az oldalt. DE ha a beindítja az új reklámvideó részlegét, akkor reklámokat kell majd nézegetnünk a tényleges tartalmak előtt. Ez óriási hasznot hozhat, bár pár embert el is üldözhet. Több millió embert vennének rá a Checkout használatára, ha ezt a rendszert integrálnák a Youtube-ba. A rendszer gyors, és nagyfokú elterjedése –> sok újonnan csatlakozó online webáruház –> sok termék (eladása) –> sok-sok pénz (a Google részesedik az eladásokból)! (via Webisztán)

Könnyen átalakíthatnák a GV-t egy profibb videókra összpontosító szolgáltatássá, hisz már most is rendelkezik több, ehhez szükséges funkcióval. Például a nagyméretű lejátszó, a profi streaming, a nagyméretű fájlok feltöltésére alkalmas program, és a videó letöltöttségi állapotától független (előre-hátra) tekerés. A szolgáltatás átmenetet képezne a most indulgató asztali “letöltjük-megnézzük-megosztjuk” (Joost project), és a Youtube féle egypercesek között. Ráadásul a minőségi tartalom a keresésekhez is jól jön. Mi van, ha a Youtube lesz fizetett szolgáltatás? Bár a Youtube-on is el lehetne szigetelni egy külön részt erre a célra, de annak nem sok értelme lenne. Esetleg csak az azt igénylő (űrlapon kipipáló) felhasználók kapnának juttatásokat a feltöltött videóikért, és csak őket érintené a szigorú ellenőrzés. Ebben a szituációból két kérdés merül fel az emberekben: - Ha fizethetnek is érte, akkor miért csináljam ingyen? - Ha csak a nem fizetett részben tölthetek fel illegális tartalmat, akkor minek jelentkeznék a fizetettbe? A felhasználók részéről a megoldás két fiók regisztrálása lenne (egy fizetett, és egy nem fizetett). De ez nem túl jó megoldás. Ha a fejlesztők elég következetesek, akkor csak a felhasználók által megjelölt videókat ellenőrzik, és csak azok után fizetnek. A fizetés egyébként olyan nagy motiváló erő lehet, hogy az idáig passzívan szemlélődő embereket is sikerül regisztrációra, és feltöltésre bírni. Persze nagy összegeket csak egy vékony réteg fog kapni (heavy userek). Itt kapcsolódik a témához az egyik “nagy kérdés”: helyes-e a fizetett tartalomgenerálás (pl. fizetett blogger)? Biztos, hogy lesz szigorú ellenőrzés? Nem, nem biztos. Ha csak simán bevezetnék a szigorú ellenőrzést, akkor a szolgáltatás igen könnyen elveszíthetné a hatalmas népszerűségét. Ezt ugyan némiképp kompenzálnák a videókért kifizetett összegek, de mindenképp nagyot esne a látogatottság. Ha csak valamilyen enyhe szűrőt építenének be a programba máris jobb a helyzet, és a látogatottság se csökkenne sokat. Szerintem ez a legreálisabb elképzelés. De az is megeshet, hogy egyáltalán nem lesz szűrő, hisz a Google-nek így is megérné. A fizetett videók mekkora hasznot hoznak a Google-nek? Önmagában a videók semmilyen hasznot nem hoznak. Sőt! Rengeteg pénzt kell majd kifizetniük a naponta feltöltött több ezer videóért. Viszont több ponton is haszonná változtathatják ezt a kiadást. Hirdetések! Egy olyan oldalon, ahol nekünk fizetnek nem várhatjuk el, hogy az oldal reklámmentes legyen! Elég egy AdWords hirdetés, és a cég máris visszanyerte a kifizetett összeg felét. Ha bannereket rak ki még többet kaszálhat, bár jobban elcsúfítja az oldalt. DE ha a beindítja az új reklámvideó részlegét, akkor reklámokat kell majd nézegetnünk a tényleges tartalmak előtt. Ez óriási hasznot hozhat, bár pár embert el is üldözhet. Több millió embert vennének rá a Checkout használatára, ha ezt a rendszert integrálnák a Youtube-ba. A rendszer gyors, és nagyfokú elterjedése –> sok újonnan csatlakozó online webáruház –> sok termék (eladása) –> sok-sok pénz (a Google részesedik az eladásokból)! (via Webisztán)

Nintendo Wii for 8 year old autistic spectrum son who is good at video games. Good game suggestions?

My son who is 8 has PDD.NOS (autistic features). He is getting the Nintendo Wii for Christmas. He is very good at video games. He has a used xbox, and a used gameboy. This will be his first new gaming system. What games are not frustrating, and not too violent that he will be successful with? Also could you tell me what games are not good and why? Theses games are expensive, I want to make sure the ones we get are worth it.
