Exoclick: Alternative to Adsense.
Are you disappointed with Adsense? Do you find the ads don’t match your niche? Then ExoClick might be a nice alternative for you. What is Exoclick? How to Get $3.10 For 2 adsense Clicks - High adsense Earnings

Yesterday I got a shock after checking my adsense reports. BEHOLD!
It was frigging $RM3.10 for only two adsense clicks hor! After conversion to Ringgit Malaysia, it would be RM10++ for the two clicks! I have never achieved such high adsense earnings before, on a per click basis.
Unless I’m wrong — I feel it is rare to have an earning per click this high especially when one is running a highly competitive and popular niche like mine. The last time I checked, niches like mortgage (something to do with land) and Mesothelioma (a kind of cancer) paid the highest. A single click could cost the advertiser up to $20 and maybe more!
So, how did I achieve these adsense earnings?
Ok, that is definitely a good key question to address. To be frank, I have no idea. But before you are want to strangle me to death, I have some hypothesis behind this.
A few days ago, I accidentally click into a website that offered a list of competitive advertiser URLs. By competitive advertiser URLs it refers to URLs that are all from low-paying advertisers, although the extent to which the claim is valid still remains unknown.
I gave it a try and added the list, which I will provide below, into the “Competitive Ad Filter” menu (under the “adsense Setup” tab) in my adsense account.
And then the above is the outcome several days later. I have searched through several forums and websites regarding this and what I can conclude from my findings is that it is possible the list could have worked its charm. However, it might or might not work for others depending on what their niche is. If the list of URLs has nothing at all to do with their niche, the list is of no use.
So here you go. You might want to experiment with your adsense competitive ad filter by adding this. There is no harm experimenting, right?

The most important thing in order for you to achieve adsense earnings would be the strategic placement of your ads. There is no one formula as far as “strategic placement” is concerned, but in today’s context where more and more Internet users are getting blind towards adsense units, what you can do as to integrate your adsense units so that they look like part of your real content.
Keep experimenting with the positions because you never know what works best for your site. For mine, 728×90 image ads and 468×15 link ads work well, and I sincerely share my success with you here.
P/S: By “high adsense earnings” in the title, it means it is relative to my average adsense earnings.

Feeling really lazy to work on this niche blog already after having taken a long vacation a.k.a. absence from the Internet!
Also lazy partly because I don’t really have to worry about the lack of traffic to this site anymore, as it has remained quite consistently since a month back. Haha!
You say what kind of a webmaster I am ah???
Anyway, I just logged into my adsense account and saw…
Syiok or not? OKlah, for those of you who earn like $50 daily, this is of course peanuts and beh syiok…
But limbei is neither John Chow nor Chanlilian leh.
About $3 for only six adsense clicks! After conversion into Ringgit Malaysia, it will be around RM10.70! Totally high adsense earnings in a time of economic recession like now.
The last time I got impressively high adsense earnings was March 3, and I explained that I might have a hypothesis behind getting those high adsense earnings.
On the other hand, I also begin to see a little success with Nuffnang. I need a few more bucks before I can have my virgin Nuffnang cashout. Double syiokness, baby!
May more high adsense earnings faster faster come!

adsense - Still King and Better-performing than Nuffnang!

In May this year, MrDefinite.com managed to earn me a total of $43. After conversion to local currency it would be approximately RM150.
Although the report for this month is not out yet, my adsense earning during the first half of this month has amounted to $20 (RM70).
In other words, with the performance of MrDefinite.com as of now, the blog is able to generate an income of RM130 to RM150 monthly. RM150 means a lot to me because it is able to offset half of my rental.
At the same time, my earning from Nuffnang in May was only RM14, although click-through rate has maintained at four (sometimes five) out of five stars!
That’s bad!
while earning report for this month is not yet available, earning from Nuffnang in April was only around RM10.
Therefore, adsense is obviously more significant to me as of now compared to Nuffnang. While Nuffnang is now deemed as a flourishing and reliable company (in contrast to Advertlets, who has conned off my payout of RM100), its earning is so low!

adsense Earnings Gone Down!

My adsense earnings have gone down three-fold this week. Below I provide week-by-week statistics of my adsense earnings.
From June 7 to June 13, which was three weeks ago, 36 clicks earned me a total of close to $12 (RM42). The following week (from June 14 to June 20), although number of clicks went up, total earning was only about $12.
This week, adsense earnings continue to drop. A total of 33 clicks only get to generate a revenue of $4 (RM14).
Is anyone experiencing the same effect as well?

My 2nd Successful adsense Payout!

Following my first adsense payout in June 2008, I was issued my second payment last month. I only managed to claim it today.
Although it took me one year to make USD121, it was considered fast considering this blog only began gaining momentum after changing from a personal blog to a “make money online” cum personal blog in January this year.
Happy leh!
Now I can use my adsense earnings to compensate my rental! It feels good not to have to rely on parents for financial aid anymore.
As usual, I opted for Western Union for the money transfer and this time I ended up at Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) to conduct transfer (Public Bank’s Western Union money transfer system was down today).
Exchange rate is 3.49 today, which is higher than the first time I got my payment. Exchange rate was only around 3.2 then.
Upon conversion, my payout was a whopping RM423.16.
Definitely not a lot, but is enough for me to cover some of my monthly expenses.
Frankly speaking, I haven’t been 100% serious in making money online as I am thronged with other commitments like my studies and so forth. However, I see this is a pastime and something that is fun doing.
I may not be John Chow, but I’m satisfied with the direction this blog is heading!

TLA and Google adsense payment for November

Hurrah, I got my TLA payment via PayPal. And I just checked my Google adsense account and for the first time in two years, I no longer have to wait for 2 weeks to receive a cheque and another month for it to clear, as they have now assigned me a MCTN number via Western Union Quick Cash service. I’ll be picking that up on Monday. Both totals combined, I have earned roughly around RM700 for November, and that’s not including the balance from other money-making activities that I generate from the Internet.

Juli 2006 um 09:00:40 Uhr Man kann von Google ja denken was man will, aber einige scheinen ganz schön sauer zu sein. Alf will mit seinem Greasemonkey-Script zwar nur aufzeigen, dass das von Google genutzte Pre-fetching von Webseiten unnötig oder sogar Klick-Betrug fördern kann, allerdings wird das Script (wenn es denn genutzt wird) zu haufenweise “falschen” Klicks führen. The fact that someone else fraudently clicking ads on my site is somehow my fault is insane. I have installed this script on my computer, my friends, my families, my schools, and will any computer I get my hands on. Berkembangnya duia blogging saat ini mungkin sangat dipengaruhi oleh adanya Google Adsense. Kenapa Adsense, karena bisa mnghasilkan $$$ tentunya. Selain untuk berbagi, kebanyakan blog dibuat untuk mendapatkan $$$ dari Adsense, Paid Review,  dan Jualan Link. Kalau saya karena tidak begitu sukses denga  Paid Review, sekarang fokus ke adsense saja, apalagi sekarang pembyaran Google adsense sudah bisa pakai Western Union, gak pelu nunggu berbulan-bulan lagi. Untuk mendapatkn jumlah klik yang banyak, tidak hanya dengan asal tempel adsense di blog, butuh coba-coba. Dari pengalaman sih adsense di dalam blog post lebih banyak di klik. adsense di bawah judul Sebenarnya gak nyangka kalu adsense dengan ukuran mungil bisa dapet banyak klik. Sebenernya Google sudah mengupdate Privacy Policies sejak 23 Maret yang lalu, tapi baru baca kemarin. Google memang belakangan ini melakukan perubahan pada TOS dan Privacy Policy untuk Adsense, yang kelihatannya semakin ketat saja aturannya. Untuk melihat perubahan Privacy Policy silahkan tengok disini. Dengan adanya perubahan ini setiap Publisher diwajibkan untuk mengubah Privacy Policy. Bagi yang bingung bagaian mana yang perlu di ganti, serprank.com sudah mengubah sistemnya menyesuaikan dengan Privacy Policy yang baru ini. Bagi yang belum tau serprank.com itu website apa, serprank.com merupakan website yang dapat digunakan untuk mengenerate Privacy Policy untuk Google adsense dan program Advertising lainnya. Tinggal masukan alamat web dan email, Privacy Policy akan di genereta secara otomatis. Updates to the program policies Pada 28 April 2009, Google juga melakukan perubahan pada program policiesnya atau bisa disebut aturan yang mengatur tentang masalah peletakan dan pemasahan Gooogle Adsense. Ada 3 hal yang sangat penting dalam program policies yang baru. 1. Tidak boleh menformat content mirip dengan Google Adsense 2. Tidak boleh memasang adsense sejajar dengan gambar 3. Tidak boleh memasang adsense di bawah text yang bisa dianggap sebagai label Google tidak memperbolehkan publisher melabeli adsense dengan kata-kata seperti Free Resources, Free Download, dll, kecuali dengan “Advertisements” atau “Sponsored Links”.  Jika adsense diletakkan di bawah judul blog post, maka bisa dianggap pelanggaran, karena judul post bisa menjadi label untuk adsense yang dipasang. Fix this problem Jika harus melepas adsense yang ada di bawah post, tentunya sayang, karena penempetan adsense di bawah judul post baisanya mendapatkan CTR yang lumat tinggi dibandingkan tempat lain. Untuk mengatasi hal ini, bisa dilakukan dengan memasang kat “Advertisements” atau “Sponsored Links” di atas Adsense. Ada yang sudah mempraktekan solusi ini dan diterima oleh Google. Terima dolarnya patuhi aturannya.

Impression count is basically referring to your traffic. It means the number of times adsense block is displayed. Click-through-rate (CTR) is ratio of clicks per impressions. It can range from 0.1% to 30%, but most commonly around 1% to 10%. Cost-per-click (CPC) is the earning you get per click. While traditionally it refers to the amount advertisers pay for each click, it can also mean the amount publishers get for each click. Smart-pricing is adsense method to determine how valuable clicks from your site is worth. If clicks on your site doesn’t provide good value to advertisers, e.g. from visitors’ geo-location that seldom translate to sales, you will only get a fraction of the supposed CPC. Apply for adsense account via blogger.com for faster approval. Once you get your adsense publisher code, you can put it any of your websites without requiring further approval. Read and reread Google adsense Program Policies and Terms and Conditions. Don’t click on your own ads, or ask people to click, even if you are using proxies. Don’t use click-bots. You are very likely to face less competition than in Google. Invest for original fresh content. Write or pay for contents regularly. Use copyscape.com to find content theft. You invest for your content. Don’t let it be taken by unscrupulous webmasters. Article marketing is one of the best way to deliver traffic to your site. Write and submit articles to article-submission sites. Include short summary and hyperlinks to your website in the author information box. Don’t use objectionable methods to draw visitors to your site; buying traffics, spyware, hidden-texts, page cloaking etc will get your adsense account terminated. New visitors have higher chance to click on the ads than regular visitors, thus higher CTR (click-through rate). Regular visitors have higher chance to recommend your site to others. Search engines are where most of your new visitors come from. Learn a bit about Search Engine Optimization, or pay people to do it. Doing it yourself will save yourself from troubles created by not-so-honorable SEO (Search Engine Optimizer). Don’t create mirrors. These are sites with different URLs but same contents. Well, for one thing, it’s a one of the hottest new ways to make money online without having to do a whole lot. If you’ve read Robert Kiyosaki’s book, “Rich Dad, Poor Dad,” you know that passive income is the best kind of income to have. Passive income is income that you get without having to work for it. I know this may sound like some kind of “pie in the sky” get-rich-quick scheme, but passive income is for real. In fact, every single billionaire on earth uses the power of passive income to keep money coming in while he or she jets off to parties and resorts and such. The best example of passive income in the physical world is real estate. When you own an apartment building and hire a property manager and a maintenance crew to take care of it for you and collect the rents, all you have to do is cash the checks that roll in. Of course, passive income doesn’t just happen overnight, or everyone would be getting it. In the case of the apartment building owner, it took money, time, and knowledge to set up an S corporation, find a building to buy, put up the cash to buy it with and get a loan for the rest, renovate it, then screen and hire the property manager and maintenance crew. But once that was all done, checks began rolling in with little or no effort. Well, Google adsense is the online equivalent of that. You’ll have to invest just a little bit of time in learning about it, but once you get it set up you can look forward to seeing those nice checks roll in. adsense ToS - How to Make a Privacy Policy

So apparently a few days ago Google changed its Terms of Service for people who have use Google adsense on their pages. All pages with adsense on it are now required to have a Privacy Policy.  While I was able to add a Privacy Policy page for Money News here. If you still use adsense for your blog or other site, and need to create a quick/easy privacy policy you can get one here. I also recommend changing the e-mail link to point to a contact page form instead of listing the actual e-mail. Less chance of it getting picked up by an annoying spam bot.  All in all its a good thing to have regardless, and it takes less than five minutes to add on to your blog.
