A bas le Douche!
–
M & N
DRAMATIS PERSONAE:
Leary, King of Doucheland or
Douche
( As an honorific, Sovereigns are often referred to by the name of their domain).
Momacita:
Dowager Regent
Jeffie:
Court Jester–or, simply–
fool
Shultzie:
Senior Fool
Doctor Pete
Sorceress
(DP can conjure up forbidden documents and riches)
Dumby:
Grand Vizier of Douche
Pattie Cake:
Court Vintner and unofficial spirits taster.
Maxine:
Court Mascot
(& chief disposer of chicken bones)
.
Herald
(offstage players)
The Cesspool:
A rival kingdom committed to the destruction of Doucheland and the downfall of Douche.
Obots:
A nebulous group that is also committed to overthrowing Douche. They may, or may not, be subjects of The Cesspool. They are alternately incredibly powerful and absolutely helpless. They are either dog-ass arrogant, or cringing in fear and panic–according to the mood and “messaging mode” of Douche. They derive powers from their overlord….
Obambi:
The all-powerful Dark Lord of the Obots and Liege of The Cesspool. Working through his minions, he can cause rains to cease, criers to go mute, and inquisitors to fail. His dark powers trump those of Doctor Pete.
Michelle Bitch:
Consort of Obambi and
bete-noire
of Doucheland minions.
Axlerood:
Vassal of Obambi, and CIC and paymaster of the vaunted “Obot army.”
Mitch, the Bitch:
Un Chevalier Blanc,
that has in the past, led a legion that sacked and devastated Douche’s Kingdom.
Freak Republic:
A neighboring kingdom hostile to Douche personally, but allied with Doucheland to “bring Obambi to his knees.” Douche eagerly tolerates its personal snubs to him, because he sees its numerous subjects as potential recruits and, therefore, a veritable cornucopia of tithes. Its subjects are doubly-sworn enemies of Michelle Bitch.
Act 1
The scene opens in the court of Douche which is a screened in porch in a trailer park. Present is Pattie Cake, Dumby, Shultzie and Jeffie. They are gathered in front of a dais which holds a la-Z-boy and a Morris chair. The Morris chair is placed to the right and a little behind the la-Z-boy.
Pattie Cake is holding a one-liter beaker of Old Milwaukee
which was on sale at 7-11 ( $1.99/six-pack) as a loss-leader. She also holds a near empty family size bag of Cheetos. She is wearing pedal-pusher slacks and an overly tight knit sweater with a wonder bra underneath.
Dumby is wearing a baseball cap with an NRA logo which is turned backwards (hip-hop style) on his head, camouflage fatigues, and a black T-shirt with “wetbacks ‘raus” printed on it.
Shultzie seems to be in a fog and is wearing a thread-bare three piece suit in spite of the discomfort of the near tropical climate. His wingtip shoes are buffed to a sheen, and overall, he appears to be a character from a 1950s TV sitcom. He imagines himself funny and doesn’t notice the apparent incongruity of his demeanor and humor.
Jeffie is ridiculously funny, though he is not aware of it. He is deluded by thinking that he matters, a delusion that is hilarious to all that observe him. He is also wearing a baseball cap, and not to be outdone by Dumby, has it turned 90 degrees on his head. He imagines himself hip-hop and “with it.” Consequently, he has adopted the “swagga” and language of teenagers and first year College students, including the requisite vulgarity and anti-english pronunciations, syntax and spellings. He hopes to attract young boys by this. He is playing with a set of lego blocks.
A Herald appears and blows an unbranded, made in china,
harmonic
a that serves as a trumpet.
Herald
:
Hear ye, hear ye. Now comes Leary, King of Douche,
and Momacita, Dowager Regent.
(exits)
(Enter Douche and Momacita. Douche is wearing magenta spandex shorts, a green golf shirt and “y” flip-flops on otherwise bare feet. Momacita is veiled, and is enshrouded by a caftan. The combination acts to hide both gender and age. She is an altogether mysterious figure. Momacita is carrying two paper sacks which hold the remnants of Double-whopper meals (just fries left). Momacita moves to the morris chair and sits without waiting. Douche, however, moves to the fore of the La-Z-boy an stands while holding Maxine, he delivers a monologue.)
Douche:
“I am too much fatigued from vile labors
performed of late on my a-waited tome,
which will, the ebon-hued Obambi,
and haughty Michelle Bitch, both to ruin.
Even Hillary, the gold’-tressed and affluent
fount, whose o’erflowing vaults I once sacked,
now trembles in anticipation of
secrets revealed.
Yet, the lanky-limb’d Obambi takes no
note of our impending folios of
indictment; indeed, the war-like Michelle Bitch
blithely plants and cultivates well-wat’red greens,
eats kobe steak, and ev’n consorts with queens.”
“Thrice was meek supplication made to the
ungenerous Obambi for tribute, well-warrant’d.
How ungracious the curt dismissal of
our meager exactions, that to his engorg’d
coffers, a mere pittance would have been.
And, fortuitu’sly so, wicked Hecate,
all-seeing, warn’d her spawn, dev’lish Axlerood,
that remittal would legitimate our
fearful accusal.
Thus, six-headed Scylla of embroilment
was ’scap’d, but my unslaked umbrage shall be
as hungry-bottom’d Charybdis and shall,
ere long, engulf the multitudinous
horde of spiteful Obots, swallow their dark
liege, and forswear spitting anything out.”
(plops into the La-Z-boy, but doesn’t recline)
“Lack of sustenance enfeebles me much,
and wear’some exertion, too, a toll takes.”
(Looks at Momacita who passes him one bag of fries,
but she first takes one out and gives it to Maxine.
Douche snatches the fry from Maxine’s mouth and eats it.)
“I fain to be by my fools cheered; lo, ev’n
the tiresome schultzie and childish Jeffie.”
(Douche continues to eat fries and ignore the salivating Maxine.)
“Lest our spirits sag, and spiteful Obots
note gleefully our disaffected state,
and take unmeasur’d pleasure therefrom.”
(Schultzie gets up smiling. He imagines himself funny, as he
is wearing the foolscap along with a decrepit worsted;
he is not. He approaches the La-Z-boy as groans
are heard from the throng.)
Schultzie:
“
Leary, I want to relate to you
(Looks around the room)
…all a little story about
Obambi and his new dog. It seems that one night, shortly after the acquisition Obambi was desirous of–shall we say–some recreation.
(smirks knowingly)
When it occurred to him that he could take the canine out for a constitutional and thereby cover his illicit doings.”
(More groans and a ‘fuck off’ is heard, but he continues unperturbed)
“During the course of their odyssey, they came to be in the South East environs–not the best of neighborhoods–when ’O espied an establishment that dispensed various libations to sooth the parched tongue. Now he and his unfortunate charge had been wandering afoot for some time, and both were uncharacteristically dry. But, ‘O, who is accustomed to having everything handled for him, had neglected to bear any legal tender–and, needless to say, his companion was also bereft.
But, the two wayfarers entered the establishment anyway and sat down, each taking a stool. When the innkeeper approached, ‘O, who was hoping to capitalize on his status and acquire services on credit, said to him:
‘You know who I am, but I forgot to bring money with me and I wonder if I could persuade you to spring for two brews for us until tomorrow?’
Now, the innkeeper was not the trusting sort–and who could blame him, considering his milieu–looked at ‘O and replied:
‘I don’t care if you is Saint Peter, EVERYBODY pays cash here.’ and busied himself wiping the bar while suspiciously eying the unusual appearing sidekick. Finally he brought himself to ask:
‘What kinda mutt is that?’
Now “O–who possesses more than a modicum of cunning–saw a possibility gaining the coveted thirst-quenchers gratis.
‘This is a very unusual dog,’ he said, ’There are only a few like him in the world. If commanded he will talk. Now, if you would be generous enough to vouchsafe us a beer each I’ll have him say something.’
Now the innkeeper, copious cynicism notwithstanding, was curious about this possibility. So, he
straightaway
drew
two drafts, and set them down. Now, each of the odd couple, heh, heh–get that? odd–drains his glass without delay while the innkeeper stood there waiting akimbo.
So ‘O says to his comrade, ‘Faithful canine companion, what kind of time did we have tonight before entering this fine establishment?’
To which the four-footed toper replied, ‘ruff.’
The innkeeper was by now highly indignant so he seized ‘O by the throat and his escort by the scruff of the neck and exclaimed, ‘What kind bullshit is this, you characters have drunk my beers, so you better make this fuckah TALK.’
Now ‘O, who is normally imperturbable but was somewhat alarmed by this turn of events, sought desperately to defuse the situation.
‘Okay…okay,’ he gurgled through his impaired breathing apparatus, ‘he’ll talk if you release us.’
The Innkeeper slightly relaxed his grip on the malefactors to permit ‘O to address his companion again: ”My bud

Eu ce as face?

The following gear list & value came from
LootRank
using
TheDoctor’s
stat weights posted on Elitist Jerks. If you are curious to how these numbers came about take a look at TheDoctor’s post (he will be posting a spreadsheet soon). Keep in mind the following list is gear from Ulduar 10&25, Sarth 10&25, Malygos 10&25, Naxx 10&25, and 5man heroics. The higher the value the better the gear is considered. However if you are lacking on a certain stat then you should gear to fill the stat you are missing. There is also a great application called
Rawr
that will help you optimize your gear. Originally it was meant for druid tanks but they have expanded the application to include the majority of classes and specs. Holy Gear list will follow in the next couple of days.
Updated as requested: Item values noted in
purple
were updated on 6/2/09 with
mmo-champion
info. Items are still not available on wowhead hence they may change. Also the item values were calculated by hand using the above stated stat weights. Since the items are not yet available on wowhead I will number them based on the item they are between (ie, 1.5 if between 1 and 2).
Version 2
: The following gear list will remain updated without the inclusion of +hit gear. I’ve created v2 to leave the original one alone due to a request for any shadow priests who are joining the light side. However the old list will not be updated and left alone as it is now. If there are any new items and they are not on the list please leave a comment or send me an email.

Digital Signage is everywhere
digg_url = 'http://www.digitalsignageblog.com/2009/05/11/digital-signage-is-everywhere/';
We’ve been pretty busy working on a project and slacked off in posting
blog
entries. We’ll hopefully post information about the project that we are working on at a later stage but we thought we’d mention how
digital signage
is everywhere. We recently walked in the busy streets of Bondi junction Australia and noticed how common it was for businesses to have display screens in their stores. The majority of these shop were displaying content from a DVD
player
, or showing live TV whilst others were actually displaying in house advertisements.
One thing that I noticed was that even thought Mothers day was approaching, not many businesses had any relevant messages relating to this event. Even today, being mothers day, businesses were not using digital signage to their advantage. Oh well maybe its just Australia… My thinking is that maybe one day, businesses will be educated and skilled in the digital signage technology to update and stay connected with their audience.

Was die Maya-Überlieferung glaubhaft macht?
Ende.”
